Do you struggle with thoughts of “Will I ever be enough?”
Do you constantly worry about “what do other people think of me”?
Do you play the what-if game in the middle of the night when you can’t sleep?
It can be hard to stop these types of thoughts, especially when it’s the way your brain automatically reacts to everything. I know this from personal experience.
In my own mental health journey, I’ve worked on learning how to let go and enjoy the blessings and challenges life throws at me instead of trying to control this unpredictable world. I’ve learned that there’s power in letting go of control, in not letting my trauma dictate how my present self reacts to stressful situations. As Carl Jung says, “I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”
I decided to be a counselor because I’ve always been fascinated by human behavior and the reasons why different people react differently to the same situations.
My goal as your counselor is to help you reconnect with your inner self, develop your self-confidence, and to empower you to explore different ways to transform your life. In session, I will teach you techniques to help you recenter yourself when the events in your life begin to overwhelm you.
